Again, for anyone unsure about tagging among bc of speed concerns- On pavement, I'll always travel at whatever speed the lowest geared guy is OK with holding.. I know some of the lighter dual sports struggle with 65+, so we keep that in mind. Off-road, it's more of a 'what you're comfortable with', and we'll always stop at turns and intersections. No one gets left behind   It's all about having fun as a group.

Hopefully a bunch of y'all can make it!

That's kinda what I was trying to say. You make sure who ever is behind you that you do not loose, they do the same, no one gets left behind. Sometimes that means the cleanup rider gets the best ride
I have been on rides where the goal was point to point to point like last spring, Emporia, Kahola Falls, Chase Co. Lake, Camp Creek, Emporia...pretty sure I held up Gregg but still averaged 60mph. Maybe 3 hrs.

Solo/Group I am good @ 50 or less especially on new paths.

Hey, I'd join in if it was closer. 
I do plan to get in some saddle time this weekend.  Come Friday, I should no longer own a house in Paxico and my weekends will be mine!  I'm bummed that I don't have primo Flint Hills riding starting at my driveway but I can be back in the boonies in 20 minutes. 
I've got to fix a flat on the front tire and I'll be ready to roll.  Now I just have to figure out which tote my tools are in.

Surely we can get a few of us to blow out the cobwebs!  I'm looking to do another SE jaunt..  anyone interested in coming along?  I guesstimate around 250 miles, as little pavement as possible, 50mph speed average offroad.  No route planned, just play follow the leader for a bit.

I figure I'd take off from the Derby QT at like 8AM

A bit out of my range for this time of year.Have a good ride, I do plan on getting out around here tho. Blown the cobs out least 4 times since Thanksgiving, Nellie is ready to ride

Well I tried starting the Shetland this afternoon, no joy.     I'm hoping the warmer temps on Friday do the trick or I'll spend Saturday cleaning the carb.

Yeah she cranked OK, a little slow. It has been sitting since Nov 23rd.  I should have started it occasionally.  It has ethanol in the tank cause that is all that was available anywhere near my old house.  It really doesn't take much to clean the carb and I might put in a bigger main jet while I'm in there.
