Welcome to Back Roads Touring Kansas!
Our community has roots in the original Back Roads Touring Kansas community, founded by Roger Baugh in 2001. While we are sad to see Roger move the original Back Roads Touring Kansas into read only mode, we salute him on his years of effort, putting together many Flint Hills Stampede rides, and promoting Dual Sport riding in Kansas, particularly in the Wichita area.
We welcome you to this new community, and hope that we can grow our membership and activity level.
There are a lot of great plans for the site, but we’ll need to beg for your patience; as there’s just two of us doing all the back end work – and of course, we both work full time to boot!
Please join us on the forum, and we welcome feature suggestions and site feedback.
One of the great new features of the SMF Forum we’ve gone with is an integrated calendar system. Any member can post a new ride right on the calendar!

We hope to see many rides this summer: remember, you don’t have to know where you’re going to lead a ride, and it doesn’t have to be a dozen people.
Take a buddy or two, point at the horizon, and say “Let’s go that way”. It’s called an adventure, after all!
