Im still watching the weather reports, doesnt look like they've gotten too much rain yet. We'll see

You guys could always call Ron at the Blue Stem hotel and ask him what conditions are like, he's the owner and is also a backroad rider!! I'm sure he could tell you what to expect...

It's also how you realize you are in the wrong place with a buck and 1/4 frame on 425lb plow 

I have no issue with the expected mud stints in fair weather, never been on a ride with Gregg yet without hitting mud 

That's not to say I am about to let the cool temps and rain and mud keep me from the backroads.......

Well, mother nature spoiled our plans so we will push this ride back 2 weeks to Saturday May 13, 2017, kickstands up at the Blue Stem Motel at 8:30 am. Come if you can make it, if you have had surgery, suck it up and come ride, no excuses,

I will be changing Bluestem Lodge reservations.

Me too, we will be there early Friday evening to eat at Benny's Westside, I haven't had a great steak in a while.

I was really looking forward to this, but would much rather ride with the sun shining. See you all in a couple weeks.

I want to see that Africa Twin in action.

After several calls and text messages regarding this, we are changing the date once more and for the final time. Mini Stampede will be next Saturday, May 6, 2017. Several leaders could not make it (Kingrider and Will KC) on the 13th. The final authority that changed my mind was the fact it was Mother's Day weekend. My mother is 91 years old and I chose not to fight this battle.
Kickstands up at the Blue Stem Motel at 8:30 am. Come and ride if you can, if not review our pictures and you will wish you had been there.

Already have plans for the 6th so I guess I will not make the Mini Stampede. However I do hope to see some of you guys at the Christian Motorcyclists Association ride going out of Burlington September 8th and 9th.

Well that's a for sure no go for me the 6th, unknown how my healing will be but I'll be riding the work chair next weekend regardless.... I'll be enjoying the pictures and ride reports though!!

Harold, if Derek makes it you can see his Africa Twin in action! That'll have to do for now... You guys be safe and have a blast!!! Looks like beautiful temps for next weekend!
