Sharing your location with Google +

I ride the boonies alone most of the time and rarely does the route I take turn out to be the route I planned.  I use Google + to share my location with my wife so she will know where to send help if necessary.  This works on any Android or iPhone by installing the Google + app and setting up location sharing.  You can set up each person individually or by groups.  Obviously there are privacy concerns so you want careful who you share with and make sure to stop sharing when you don't want it.

Cool idea, I'll have to try it, I too ride alone a lot too, very  therapeutic !
