2017 CMA Roads and Trails Rally 9/8 - 10/2017

As folks begin to plan for their 2017 riding opportunities I just wanted to let everyone know that CMA will once again be hosting the CMA Roads and Trails rally. This year we will be headquartered at the 4-H Building in Kelley Park - Burlington, KS. There is tent camping and RV camping available in Kelley Park and there are two nice motels in town. We will have organized dual sport rides on both Friday and Saturday. Sunday is more impromptu based on who has to leave for home and who can stay longer.
Our dates are locked in for September 8 ~ 10, 2017. So, make your plans now to come be a part of this rally series. CMA is hosting 17 of these events around the country from Alaska to North Carolina. Derek, I meant to reply the other day, when I saw this post. Alas, some-timers got me!! Sometimes I just forget stuff! 
I did not take any video. BUT I know a couple of guys that did. I'll try to get them to send me some clips so I can post them.

I thought I'd give this event a bump on the list. It will occur the weekend before the Stampede. It is a event very much like the Stampede offering a group ride on Friday and Saturday September 8th and 9th. Sunday the 10th will be a shorter impromptu ride based on who is left in camp. I will be leading the dual sport group both days. My plan is to use Teeter Rock as a sort of dividing line. The Friday ride will be north of Teeter Rock. We will likely eat lunch in Florence. So, we'll ride Coyne Creek and stop by the Clements bridge. Saturday we'll range south of Teeter Rock eating lunch at the Beaumont Hotel.

There is camping in the park in Burlington for both tents and RV's. There are also a couple of nice motels in town. So there is something to accommodate most everyone.

Although the event is hosted by CMA you do not need to be a member of CMA to attend. We specifically hold the event to invite anyone who is just interested in riding their motorcycle.

Is there a posted ride start time for Saturday yet? Id likely just haul my scoot up in the truck and unload in town that morning.

Yes, the riders meeting will start at 8:30 AM on both Friday and Saturday. We'll try to get the rides away by 9:30 AM. That will depend on group size and so forth.

Sounds like a blast!  I can't get away until mid day Friday, so I'll ask as the time gets closer how I can join a ride in progress, or at least meet people for supper.  I'm looking forward to seeing friends and making new ones!  Jeff Kough

Plan on going, camping. Do I have to make reservations for camping ?

There's no need for advanced reservations for camping. FYI - if you are RV camping there is a $10/day fee.

I'm looking forward to next weekend. The weather looks like it is going to treat us very well. Campers, lows look to be in the mid 50's! Nice. High's are shown in the low to mid 80's.
