The restroom/shower information is good to know. So, I presume we just need to call the hotel to reserve a tent site?
Thanks Roger

Yes .... Jeanne (the manager) will help you take care of the details.

Ride Leader Wanted! We have 60 riders registered, and need at least one more Ride Leader. Up to the task? There is some modest "swag" for the one who steps up.

Thanks .... Roger

Newbie to the ride so have some questions.  I have a couple of toys that I would typically use depending on the terrain - a KTM 1190 Adventure or a KTM 500 EXC-F,  Is the ride dirt road, two track or single track?  Distance?  I'm assuming its a loop and back to Beaumont, but terrain does make a difference.  (Dropping the 1190 at 13,000 ft, is a workout as is 10+ hours on the 500 - done both, will do again but...)

I'm not going to be there but I know the area very well.  The questions is your skill level on the bikes.  You will be riding on county roads that will run from low maintenance to wide fast gravel.  If there has been rain the low maintenance roads can become impossible on a big bike.  A smaller bike would, depending on the rider, not have a problem.  The pics below is from a ride on a min. maint. road about 4 miles from Beaumont.

Last weekend I took two friends on a ride around the area.  I was on a 1250GSA, another was a 1200GSA and the third on an 800GS.  The road where the pics taken above were dry with deep ruts.  We had no problems.

My ride will NOT go down that road if it has rained.

There will be a ride suitable for all skill levels.

Thanks, laughed out loud when I saw the pics. Yup, had that on my 1190.  Think I'll sign up and see the weather, if continued wet, the 500 is more fun.  Thanks - btw, nice bike: my son has one - a bit tamer than my 1190 but smoother on the road....

This may help to provide some info. Our routes are pretty fluid right now, due to all the rain. Am not sure yet whether I'll be able to lead into what I planned six months ago.

This is a good overall look at all the best riding in Kansas, particularly the Flint Hills including Beaumont.

My Son is coming from Alaska to ride the 200 mile Unbound Gravel Race, used to be the Dirty Kanza.  I will be following along most of that route.  Here is a link to the routes if any one wants to know.

https://www.unboundgravel.com/routes/

We are going to have our motor home in the Fair Grounds in Emporia if there are no spots left in Cottonwood Falls.  The Strong City Rodeo is also going on.  Maybe I'll see some of you out riding.

Some folks will probably ride, but not any organized groups.

Every year for the past three years, my daughters have had a dance recital during the stampede weekend. Are the ridden tracks from 2021 Stampede available? I'd like to ride from Olathe to Wichita including considerable riding through the Stampede route, but I don't know where you guys went..
