Nothing worse that a cold Stampede so let's get this in while the weather is somewhat predictable. The date should be a good warm-up for those heading to Adventure Palooza and a nice warm season ride for the rest of us. This will be a pretty informal event. You are welcome to explore on your own, bring a group or take a ride with one of the leaders. I will be leading a ride and any volunteers to lead are welcome. Camping, as always, will be available at Eureka City Lake and Ron at the Blue Stem assures me that rooms are available. Questions or comments post up here. More information as things develop...We will meet at the Blue Stem Motel on 54 highway (East end of town) between 8 and 8:30am. Biscuits and gravy plus beverages will be served by our friends from The Christian Motorcyclists Association. Also, we will have a drawing for door prizes. Thanks to The Backroads Touring Kansas Old Riders Benevolent Fund (Roger Baugh executor) we have a number of gift cards to be given away along with other desirable swag. See me right away when you arrive for drawing tickets and ride waivers if needed. Riders Meeting will be at app. 9:00 am and kickstands up at or before 9:30. Be advised...we will be meeting in a shared, privately owned space so keep the revs down and be mindful of the unfortunate souls who will not be joining us. Stay tuned for updates...…………………………….
As always, the paperwork must be in place. Ride waivers available at
http://backroadstouring.org/downloads/waiver.pdf . So far we (tentatively) have four ride leaders. If any one would like to volunteer please send me a PM.
Mike Bright and the Christian Motorcyclist Association will be on hand with a hot breakfast and drinks. Donations appreciated...….
