Flint Hills Adventure Route. (FHADV)

Most of us all know what to do out here riding, so the guidelines aren't really for any of us.

I would like to do the route again, it is really a good route, I think it should be able to do it in a weekend, plus time to the end and back.

I don't have a way to view gpx files.  Is there any other way I could view it?  Thanks!

YES if you open Google Maps after downloading it, log into google and load the map. Save it to your places. Then go to your phone with location services on it will appear in your my places. Select it and route it! This is really cool! Or you can put it into Garmin Basemap which is a free download. Or you can PM me and I will email you the route for you to save in google maps.

Google Earth Pro (which is free) can open (and create) GPX files, I've used it to make tracks for use with Back Country Navigator

Edit: I was thinking it could save as GPX, but it can't. It's just that my app can open KML. There's some utilities for converting KML to GPX for use with a hardware GPS though.

You can also import into google maps and base camp, I did must of it in base camp. Now that I have looked at it, I don't see away to load the map in google maps, I'll try google earth. I know base camp works and its free, and I don't see a way to import into google earth either!! If there is another file format that anyone would like, please let me know.

OK, I found out how in google earth. Right click on the FHADV.gpx file and have it open in google earth, Have it make the track for you.

To open in google maps: open google maps. In the menu open (my places) you should see on the right a (maps) tab hit it, on the bottom there is a ( create map) hit it, then there should be an (import) hit it and import the FHADV.gpx file. then you should see it.

Also have it posted to my Rever page. The waypoints are only as numbered points not as they are, Like gas stations or things to see.

Very cool route.  Goes one mile over from our family farm.  We have camp grounds and outhouses there.  Could make a very convenient stop for a future ride.

Let me know where your family farm is and we can put it on the map.
