If you guys are posting photos please make sure to post them to the Anderson County Dual Sport Safari Board on here! Let everyone know what our trails and roads are like. Especially if you can figure out how to photograph a big hill and do it justice? I sure can't. Thanks for coming to ride with us. And I appreciate it if you don't post the one of me in the mud! That would be great.
There is absolutely no excuse for what I am about to do.

I can't wait for Vick to post his go pro footage! We had some great "Moments",  But for the record I am here to admit defeat!!!! Scott KICKED my butt in every way with the Kawasaki! It is way more powerful than the CRF! I realize I out weigh him by nearly a hundred pounds. But a hundred pounds, a good outlook on life and some nitro Oxide would not have gained me the victory! The Kaw is faster!  But I do look better on the Honda.

I thought I posted the links to the flier with the dates. I know Dane posted them in about 10 places. But the official date is June 1 is the meet and greet at Malones for dinner (AMAZING PRIME RIB!), June 2nd for the all day ride, band plays that evening, and June 3rd are pickup rides and go home eventually. You can talk about trails but until you experience them it isn't the same. We have enough trails to take the entire day, for all skill levels. We have road routes for those who don't want to ride trails or "Lack" ground clearance. We can accommodate about anything.
There is absolutely no excuse for what I am about to do.

Not sure the jury is back yet, not only a hundred pounds of pilot, but that honkn' windshield, extra gallon of gas....Vic and I had a run earlier from 1st gear and while I pulled him it wasn't like I went around you at 75mph. Although I was holding back a bit and never broke 8k of 10.9 redline. One other thing about the Honda is no tach so,

It was a great break in ride for me and I learned some things:
I have a "Vehicle-down" sensor which is supposed to kill the engine if I go down, well it didn't when I did, I hit the kill switch and left the key on, in either case, vehicle down or using the kill switch, the key has to be turned off then on again. The only problem with that is they either cut fuel or spark in that case instead of the starter so, if you don't know about it you could well run outa battery or starter.

Another issue I had was not being able to start in gear with the kick stand up and clutch pulled. I unplugged the switch, jumped it and it works so modifying my lever may have altered something or I just have a bad switch.

The little plastic sediment bowl under my shock "Should" be upstream of the air filter and drain the air box so I need to verify that and still re-route or locate it a bit higher.

I need to do some playing with the suspension adjustments ass my skinny lil ass could not get that tire planted. Vic seemed to have no problem lifting the front of that Honda at will. However when he sits on the Honda and mine, he is flat foot with bent knees and I am barely tiptoe each foot straight legged. I think the adjustments are there just need to get it cuz the only other answer is a wife to fatten me up and I tried that twice and it never worked :P

I thought a couple of those pics show the grade out there if you look at'em close enough...but maybe another ride before the event and I will bring a real camera ;) I would give Fifth of May 98% chance for spectacular weather!
These are mere hills in the coastal range of Oregon:
