Flint Hills ride - 6/3

Hey gang- short notice, but a few of us are going to be heading out into the flint hills tomorrow. Still working on an exact route, but figure around 170-200 miles for the day. We're meeting up at the QT on North Rock and 37th, kickstands up at 9AM.

So far its myself, Woody and Randy- and all are welcome. It might be a little muddy in places, so be sure to bring a tow rope of sorts, along with the usual backroads gear. We will be generally headed NE- around the cottonwoods falls area.

I'm working on a gpx for the ride, and I'll share it here if I finish it in time. Theres a solid 35% chance we'll just be winging it

Dirty Kanza is tomorrow as well but they will not be west of the Cattle pens. I might be in the area if you come up with a trek in time or a meeting place.

By no means do I mean to alter your plans, but if you are winging it a bit, I would be up for catching a leg or so with you just not into riding clear to Wichita to start.
You mentioned Cottonwood Falls and I have been meaning to check out a road just a few miles east of there....Bloody Creek Rd. It intersects with 200th Rd just about 3-4 miles east of Cottonwood Falls.
Again, would be nice to meet up for a leg but no intention of altering your agenda....

Sorry we didn't get to meet up, bicycle traffic caused us an unexpected reroute and then a flat delayed us before we had a chance! Hope you had a good ride though!!

I didn't think you were planning on getting that far east to hit bike traffic or I would have headed south. Still sounds like you had a good time, any time you say as in your text, "Not even sure where we are...let me look it up"  that has got to be a good ride.
The weather and day was just about perfect, I had a nice leisurely 85 miles.

Yeah, sorry we missed ya, Asis, glad you still had a fun ride!  We had 3-4 rides worth of shenanigans and adventures all in one loop. It was interesting   We all had a great time
