Covid 2022

Well its that time of year again, Time for another Covid ride.  Saturday May 7th is the date. This will be a one day ride starting at the Sadlerock cafe in Council Grove. Start time should be 9AM, and the route will be 157 miles. We will stop for gas/ lunch in Strong city and then back to Council Grove. It s been a small bike route for the most part, but have had a few Larger KTM’s in the group that have made it. I don’t know about how muddy the route will be until we get closer to the ride date. There is parking at the Saddlerock cafe for everyones truck. I think gas is about 87 miles into the route, so please make sure you have enough gas to get that far, also make sure you have tools and tubes/patch kits for your bike. All bikes should be street legal, as we will be on some paved roads.

I've got this ride on my calendar!

I think I'll camp out at the Lake on Friday night at the Santa Fe campground, if anybody wants to share a campsite!

If you need a sweep, I'll sweep for you; just send me the route GPX file please!

Nick - also Nick here - I plan on camping at Council Grove Lake Friday night as it looks like the weather should be good. I am currently looking at booking in the Neosho campground per the recommendation of the staff member I chatted with. All campsites in that area are available right now but I am eyeing #6. Did you already have a plan for a campsite? If not, perhaps we could book next to each other. I am off work Friday so quite flexible on arrival etc.

Just noticed you said Santa Fe campground - I went ahead and booked site 6 at Neosho, no big deal, I’ll just buzz over there if you end up camping as well.
