Who: All Golden Compass Participants
What: Welcome to the Golden Compass Challenge! The challenge consists of 19 checkpoints however we may be placing additional checkpoints for your pleasure or displeasure. Each team will be issued a one map with pre-plotted checkpoints, one clue sheet and one passport. At each checkpoint you will find a marker attached and a unique symbol on the checkpoint; you will draw the symbol on your passport with the corresponding number that is listed on the checkpoint. NO GPS ALLOWED.
The challenge will consist of trail, 2 track and gravel roads. All bikes are encourage however depending on your riding ability you may chose to walk some areas.
Where: Fairground at Lake Garnett Park
When: June 6th 7 a.m.- 8:30 a.m. Meet at fairgrounds & check-in cont’d. VFW breakfast (cost included in registration). The Golden Compass riders will have a packet pick up table. Look for the sign.
8:30 a.m. – Riders meeting & orientation, choose your ride (some rides will leave early)
Golden Compass riders will meet directly after 8:30 AM riders meetings.
9:00 AM – The GC will start.
4:30 PM – Official end time – Your passport MUST be turned in by 4:30 PM. You will lose 1 checkpoint for every 15 minutes your late.

There will be extra maps printed if you don’t sign up but space will be limited and on a first come first serve basis. Signs ups need to be completed by midnight June 23rd.
