This is really slick.... About the same price as a Garmin Montana 680, but steps up the game with bluetooth phone/music control, intercom, and "Buddy Tracker" showing up to 20 other riders in your ride group right on the GPS screen, with an "I need help" button that makes your icon flash red on everybody else's screen. Not sure if it works through cellular or what, but it sounds pretty dang cool.

I looked at it at one time, but it’s hard to bet the Garmin world.  I don’t know how much they update there maps and how much info is on them.

They have a good selection of maps but I'm not sure what the source data is. I saw on ADVRider "OSM" which is probably Open Street Map, though the screen shots clearly show topo lines. I'm not sure if these would be equivalent to the Garmin 100k or 24k resolutions.
