Gypsum hills
« on: July 28, 2019, 08:38:39 PM »
So I promised ajayhawkfan that I would report on this ride. Well we posted some stuff but here is the report. Gypsum hills if you go. You have to stay in Sun City KS. There is the infamous Buster's Saloon and the bank building which is a lodge that could sleep like 15-20 people. It is really a neat spot! Rick Lambert is the proprietor. https://www.uplandbirdguideservice.com/lodge/ call him he charged us $50/ room per night. Great guy you won't regret this place! He has options for RVs and more lodging it is just cool! From sun City you are in the middle of the gyp hills. Go any direction you want it is stunning. Ted Turner's Zbar ranch to the South. Salt flats of Oklahoma, the alabaster cave in freedom Oklahoma is really neat. But I would avoid the temptation to ride on the Sandy river bed at freedom Oklahoma. Ask Marc Browning! Who is hosting a ride out here on October 12-13. If you have never been here. You should go. The sand is challenging but fun! Especially up by Greensburg KS! Wow it gets deep up there. The rattlesnakes are everywhere! Dang we saw three total. My wife Mackenzie Peterson posted a video of one of them and he was the smallest? Don't head into the bushes to pee! The gal on the horse is the lovely waitress at Buster's her beauty is only surpasses by her disposition! But she will feed you like a crazy person! Thanks to Eddie Mcliney, Dane Hicks Patrick J Schettler Carly Ann Eli Peterson Russell Peterson Mackenzie Peterson, Marc Browning, Nick bright. Good times. Go ride with Marc in the hills.
There is absolutely no excuse for what I am about to do.
