Had 5 bikes today, Gary Russell (KLR), Tom Rogers (KLR), William Brentlinger (KLR), Harold Rogers (XR650R) and Eddie McLiney (WR250). Breakfast in Blue Mound and lots of chat with the locals. Kick stands up at 9 and we headed northeast following Gary Russell. Blacktop to Mound City and then gravel looping around the lakes at La Cygne. Gary had to hay and left the group for home. From La Cygne, the group road north and then east. Once we hit the Missouri line we zig zagged south to Fulton for fuel and a snack. After a break the group headed south for Guthrie mound, river crossings and minimum maintenance roads back north towards Xenia and Blue Mound. Will_kc found a hole crossing a washed trail that required stacking stones so his KLR could get it's nose up. No flats, no breakdowns, lots of eastern Kansas roads and early summer dust.
