You can totally do all that on  your KLR- I did all that on my 530 with street tires, no problems at all. Its absolutely big bike freindly, and we'll have bypasses through anything remotely sketch. I did all the passes, and no bypasses, in that video.

I have no doubt I could and would love it, but I do have the lowering links on and it is dropped about 3 inches and during the CMA ride, that short lil road up to teeter rock I bottomed pretty hard at least 3 times. When I said I couldn't behave I meant any chance I get to launch I usually take it  ;D
Looks like it would be a good idea to dismount mirrors...??? No doubt I will be hauling my ride if I can make it.
Depends on some other things pan out, my Uncle's 4WD group might be doing a meet at a private abandoned quarry in Chase co.

Paging Marc: Is that offer to borrow your KLR still valid  ::)

BUMP!!

Talked with Carl and Connie-  course marking is coming along nicely! Should be a great time this weekend! They didnt get very much rain down there, so things should be a lot of fun!

Looks like you should have great weather tomorrow for the event! I hope you have a great turnout as well, wish I could make it because it sounds like a damn good time romping around in the woods! Unfortunately my current "work myself into the ground" schedule requires me to work this weekend.....

Have fun and be safe and may a BTK member be the big winner!!!

Storm kept me up kinda late with work, and I figured it would be a muddy mess; so I slept in.

How were the trails?

Good call Nick, it was to muddy for me, I learned a lot, and found a few  muscles I didn't know I had... oh tomorrow is going to be  rough. For me, it would be a cool course when it is dry, my bike is a " dirt bike" not a "mud bike".  But still fun.
And if anyone has seen Carl ride, look out, I only wish I could ride like that at my age, it his age, it's nuts !!!

Thanks Marc!

Yeah,  if we had a couple more hours for it to dry, it would've been do-able for folks without knobbies. Its an awesome, fun course, but was too much for even 50/50 tires. Carl made a short course redirect after the first lap, one that was on mostly gravel, and folks burned that in real well.

All told, we had a really great turnout considering the weather and such.  Thanks to everyone that came out!!
