Tire spoons & valve stem snake
« on: February 13, 2017, 12:07:01 PM »
Man I was bummed to get shut out of riding this weekend.  Set out to fix the front flat Saturday morning and could not find my tire levers anywhere.  I orderd a set of spoons on Amazon and added a valve stem snake.  They arrived this morning so I should get that sucker fixed tonight.
On the plus side, I didn't have to clean the carb.  It fired up immediately so I guess it just wanted some warmer temps.

Those look like good spoons!  How long are they?  Do you have a link for them?

These are 11".  They look like they come from the same factory as those 14.5" ones you posted below.  I decided on the 11" because, if I can't find my 11" Motion Pro levers, I'll need to pack these on the bike.
I've heard people say the valve stem fishing tool makes installing HD tubes easier so I'll give it a shot.

Follow up.  These tools work a treat.  I just did a front tire, the rear may be a different story but the spoons were plenty long for leverage.  The little fishing tool saved my fat, old fingers.
