Link and I rode Will_KC's Southern route and it's a doozy.  Well done Will!  There's plenty of different terrain along the ride, especially as you get further south.  Most of you probably already have ridden along those parts but it was a first for me.  Be cautious at the water crossings for the "green slime"  it's there and it's slick.  There's multiple cows, horses, turkeys, deer, buzzards eating armadillos and dogs out on the road so watch out.  There will also likely be some fresh ruts after this weeks rains but nearly there were only a few roads marked "Minimum Maintenance"  We ran into one 40 Head Cattle drive on a narrow road and we shut down the engines and waited to let them pass.
Here's an attempted link to some photos of the day's ride.

Awesome! I guess I missed where this route is...? (edit:, Eureka southern...got it ;)  )
I remember doing a cattle move like that just west of Americus when I lived on a farm and was 15. Unfortunately I was a foot soldier on that drive, and those errant heifers in the video bring back memories lol.

Somebody made a comment about cattle drives to me a few weeks ago, and I said "naw, they don't do that stuff anymore". Clearly, I was wrong!  ;D

Well this is what I get for planning in advance. On the 6th, I'll be in Girard at the ABATE rally. On the 13th I have a meeting in Manhattan. I'll be looking for the pictures and ride report.

I like the video clip!  Looks like they got less rain down there compared to here.

Sweet! Have witnessed herding scenes a few times on a ride. On one Stampede ride, happened to be a unhappy bull who gave the patrol more than a menacing look or two, and we were literally 'pinned' against a barbed wire fence while it passed!

Thanks for the share!

What is our head count going to be?
I plan on riding in Friday evening after work.
Anyone besides Nick, Hodaka, ASIS, Tom and myself?
Harold are you bringing extra ride waivers?

I'll be there, have a room for Friday night at the blue stem motel. Saturday looks to be a beauty.

I’m sort of a newbie here. Dale is my name. I go by Dirtcruzer. I live in Wichita. I will ride my DRZ400 to Eureka. It is about an hour or so to ride there from Wichita. I geared it for the highway. My other bike is a BMW F650GS. As I understand it, we meet at the blue stem motel at a little after 8:00 AM. Would like to know where the end point will be at the end of the day. I will probably head back to Wichita for the night.  I will make sure I fill out the ride waiver. Looking forward to the ride.

Thanks for the ride today guys, sorry that my troubles slowed down the patrol.

I made it home safely, though my tire was flat again by Independence.
