Met Derek and Lance at the QT at Rock and 63rd. we left at 9am going east on 63rd then down by Cook field, past Rose Hill then south to Rock, looking for a "oil field" but we didn't have much luck finding it, but had fun looking, ran into two guys from Wichita on CRF250L's We told them about the site/group, hope to have new members soon. we found a really good road around a corn field, that lead us to a gate, we back tracked a bit and found a creek to cross, after a few passes in it for some video footage
. From there Lance had to head home so he left at highway 77 going north. Derek and I went to Douglass for gas, and it was time for Derek to head back too. I went off north past Douglass to Bois d' Arc headed back through Gordan and Rose Hill again, then home, about 125 miles total.
Great to have met Lance, he takes a lot of pictures of his DR400, like its new to him, but he said he's had a few years, must really love bike, Derek's KTM 530 was cool, definitely more dirt than street, looks like a fun bike to ride, just to tall for me. All in all, weather was good, company was great, route went well for not riding it first.
Thanks for Derek and Lance for the good times.
